Thank you for visiting our website. Our vision is to strive for the highest academic standards, team work and a strong sense of community spirit. This is summed up in our school motto of 'Be a Star!' which was developed by staff and pupils.
Long Sutton County Primary School is incredibly proud of serving the whole community as the only Primary in the town of Long Sutton. The school decided, after several years of developments and improvements, to become an academy and joined the local Keystone Academy Trust. This allows us to continue our work at the centre of the local community and for us to link with local groups and charities as well as ensuring that our children receive the best education possible.
Our parents are extremely supportive and work together with the school to help move the school forward. We have committed staff, who strive to provide a range of exciting and engaging learning opportunities for our children. The staff are supported and encouraged by the school's Governors, who are dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunities to reach their full potential. We strive to promote a happy and productive relationship with the whole school community and we are confident that by working together we can provide the best educational opportunities possible for our children. All of this has been demonstrated by the way in which the school has developed over recent years and our 'good' OFSTED report
The school is also supported superbly by 'Friends of Long Sutton County Primary School' Association, who offer their time and energy to help fund projects that often could not be afforded without their kind donations. They organise a range of social activities which bring parents and the local community together to raise money for the school including discos, football matches, fashion shows and quiz nights.
We hope that you like what you see and will come to visit us and see everything that our children are doing.

I have taken the pumpkin that was growing beside our pond to Bell’s Pumpkin Patch to be entered into their weigh-in! The heaviest pumpkin will win but it has some serious competition. If you visit the Pumpkin Patch, look out for ours and afterwards it will be donated to their charity raffle. Click on the pictures below to see for yourself.
They have been building a Robot and enjoying a woodland walk in Nursery today. Find out more on the Foundation Stage page.
Many thanks to all of you for supporting our attendance drive. School attendance currently stands at 96.8% and we are seeing most children arriving at school in time ready to line up after the bell goes at 8:50am.
As we continue in our efforts to improve attendance and punctuality, next week we will be holding the first of our half-termly Early Bird Weeks. The aim of this week is for children to arrive to school on time, every day, ready to line up after the bell goes at 8:50am. For children who achieve this, they will be entered into a prize draw to win a £10 gift card.
Improving school attendance is a key priority for the school as we are committed to providing a full and rewarding education for all our pupils. Please remember our school target for attendance is 96%.
We will continue to provide key updates on attendance as the year progresses. If you have any questions regarding your child’s attendance or punctuality, please do come and speak to us.
